So, where to start? Most of my stories are horror or fantasy. I’ve been a fan of horror since I was a little and spent class days reading Goosebumps rip-offs, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, and Bunnicula. I also have to thank Grandma for allowing me to traumatize my seven-year-old self with Jurassic Park and Alien.
(Also, I'm a huge fan of bats and black lipstick.)
Before I graduated with my BA in English from Kennesaw State University, I worked as a social media coordinator for my university's writing center, which sprung from an internship. While working toward an MA in Professional Writing, I have been the editor for the KSU English Department's newsletter. I have also been an intern at Sundress Publications.
I am currently a fiction editor for Exhume and Headlight Review, the social media and web editor for Doubleback Review, and a fiction contributor for Marias at Sampaguitas. My short story "Papa's Work" won first place in the Short Stories category in the KSU English Department's Creative Writing Contest.
I've written since I was in elementary school. I published my first novel, Dove Keeper, in October 2018. You can read more about my publications in my portfolio. I've also branched out into making graphic novels and video games.
I hope what I create and teach will help others feel less alone.
Acknowledgments: I couldn't have gotten this far with my writing without the enthusiastic help of those close to me. I am grateful for my patrons. Thank you, Cecilia, my mother; thank you, August Blair, a fellow writer and friend.
